This hymn is probably my personal all-time favorite. Written by Thomas Chisholm, and later put to music by William Runyan, it has become widely known since 1923.
The words get their inspiration from Lamentations 3:22-23:
Those words from Scripture have always been a great comfort to those who have read them, and so, too, have the lyrics to Chisholm's song. God is faithful; He always has been and always will be. His blessings to us are beyond tabulation and comprehension. What a great thought upon which to meditate!22It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
